PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a step for a vehicle capable of enhancing the maintenance property of the vehicle when a failure occurs. SOLUTION: A link arm 12 is composed of a gear 41 on which a driving force is applied and an arm 42 supporting a step body to support the gear 41 and the arm 42 centered on a rotary shaft 43 provided in a bracket 31 so as to be turnable, respectively. An extension piece 63 extended to a terminal side is provided in a cylindrical part 53 of the arm 42, and a threaded hole 64 is formed at the extension piece 63. An insertion hole 91 is formed at an overlapping part 85 arranged by overlapping on the extension piece 63 in an extension part 82 of the gear 41. A screw 113 of a fuse bolt 101 having lower strength than that of each part of a driving mechanism, the arm 42, and the gear 41 is screwed into the threaded hole 64, and a small diameter part 114 is inserted into the insertion hole 91 to connect the gear 41 with the arm 42.
