PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the flexibility related to the installation position of an imaging device by installing it even near a lamp device by suppressing the effect of the light of the lamp device on the imaging device mounted on a vehicle. SOLUTION: A side marker 2 functioning as a lamp device and having a camera unit 33 for outputting image signals, detects the quantity of light around the camera unit 33 by a photo diode 32. According to the detected quantity of light, the side marker selectively performs a color imaging operation for outputting color image signals by the camera unit 33 and a black-and-white imaging operation for outputting black-and-white image signals by the camera unit 33.
