The separator (1) has a collecting tray (23) with an outlet (25) under a drum screen (12) to separate a liquid by pressurizing with press rollers (19, 21). Supporting rollers (18, 20, 22) rotatably supported at a rack (2) and a housing (3) are provided over a length of the screen. The supporting rollers abut at an inner side of a drum wall. The press and supporting rollers and/or the drum screen are synchronized by a motor e.g. hydraulic motor, and are rotatably propelled on a same circumferential speed. A stripper (26) made of plastic, metal, or rubber provides contact pressure to the screen.
