A differential limitation apparatus for a vehicle is provided to realize compact structure by disposing a multiple disc clutch and an electronic coil outside a front/rear wheel transmission apparatus and fixing the electronic coil to a cylinder block. A differential limitation apparatus for a vehicle comprises an engine(11), a transmission(16), left/right wheel differential apparatuses, front/rear wheel transmission apparatuses(17,19) and a division control apparatus(10). The left/right wheel differential apparatus transfers output of the transmission to left/right wheels of a front wheel(12) and a rear wheel(15). The front/rear wheel transmission apparatus is disposed adjacent to a widthwise middle part of the vehicle. The front/rear wheel transmission apparatus transmits output of the transmission to the front wheel or the rear wheel. The division control apparatus controls division of output transferred to the left/right wheels. The left/right differential apparatus includes a differential case, a differential gear accommodated in the differential case and left/right drive shafts(26a,26b). The front/right wheel transmission apparatus is connected to the differential case and includes an output member(27) coaxially provided with the drive shaft and a front/rear wheel transmission shaft. The division control apparatus is disposed opposite the left/right differential apparatus and includes a clutch mechanism.
