PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a super-depth image generating apparatus which can generate a high-quality super-depth image that is not affected by insufficient resolution, false colors, or the like. SOLUTION: The super-depth image generating apparatus captures an image of an object consisting of a focused image overlapped with an out-of-focus image by using a spectroscopic imaging element which independently photoelectric-converts three colors, and thus generates a high-quality super-depth image without causing insufficient resolution, false colors, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
