PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver allowing a user to easily select a television program. SOLUTION: Selected channels of a tuner 3 sequentially are changed every 3 seconds. Namely, channels of television programs output from a display unit 32 and a speaker 31 are changed. The user specifies and registers a television program of interest by a registration while switching the channels, and when switching of the selected channels is completed after one round, a control unit 2 associates images 51 to 53 of a plurality of television programs stored in a memory unit 15 with channel numbers "46CH", "49CH", "56CH" corresponding to the respective images 51 to 53 and lists them on a thumbnail screen 50.
