PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of preventing image quality from disturbances due to external light in a portable apparatus assumed to be used outdoors and capable of achieving fine color tones. SOLUTION: A self-light-emitting display device is provided with R (red), G (green) and B (blue) light intensity sensors for detecting light intensity of environmental light and a color temperature during white display is controlled so that the color tone of reflected light from the surface of a display panel 8 is canceled, on the basis of information detected by respective light intensity sensors. Consequently, even when reflected light of external light exists, an image can be displayed by a color tone that should be displayed by right. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
