<p>The crankshaft has a closed outer contour, and casting cores (7a, 8a) that are provided for formation of hollow spaces in a crankshaft-bearing pin (2) and in piston rod-bearing pin (3) over an oil channel (4), respectively. The oil channel has a small dimensioned core opening in an area within bearing surfaces of pins in the outer contour for removing core materials on the hollow spaces after casting. The oil channel is integrated in the form of a pipe in both the cores. An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing a cast hollow crankshaft.</p> |
