摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the titled prepolymer outstanding in adhesivity to laminate base, which low thermal expansion coefficient, by reaction between an unsaturated bisimide and diamine so that, in the resulting reaction product, the weight ratio of the Michael addition polymer to the homopolymer from the unsaturated bisimide attains specified value. CONSTITUTION:(A) An unsaturated bisimide (e.g. maleic acid N,N'-4,4'- diphenylmethane-bis-imide) and (B) a diamine (e.g. 4,4'-diamino-diphenylmethane) are made to react so that, in the resulting reaction product, the weight ratio of the Michael addition polymer M to the homopolymer H from the unsaturated bisimide: M/H falls between 6.0 and 35.0, thus obtaining the objective prepolymer. The reaction is carried out in a molar ratio of the component A to the component B falling, pref. between 1.7-2.5, normally in a polar solvent such as DMF, in the presence of, if needed, a catalyst such as triethyl-amine at 50-200 deg.C.
