PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peripheral blood circulation ameliorative composition affecting no influence on blood pressure and enabling blood circulation to be efficiently increased in peripheral blood vessels.

SOLUTION: The peripheral blood circulation ameliorative composition contains astaxanthin and lignin at such levels that the astaxanthin's daily dose is 0.01-20 mg and the lignin's daily dose is 0.1-1,000 mg. Food or feed containing this peripheral blood circulation ameliorative composition is also provided.
