<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast recorder of high picture quality capable of easily recording a digital broadcast program under suitable recording conditions without reference to the resolution of the broadcast program. <P>SOLUTION: The digital broadcast recording device has an encoder converter which encodes and converts video data of the broadcast program, a resolution detector which detects the resolution of the broadcast program, and a controller which decides whether the encoding and conversion are performed according to the resolution of the broadcast program. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
