PURPOSE:To enhance power efficiency to the injection of ink, by arranging a valve opened when the pressure of an ink pressurizing chamber is negative to at least the ink supply passage connected to the ink pressurizing chamber. CONSTITUTION:When voltage is applied to a piezoelectric vibrator 1, said vibrator 1 is bent and deformed to the direction shown by an arrow and pressurizes an ink pressurizing chamber 9 to generate pressure waves. The pressure waves are respectively propagated toward a nozzle outlet 8 and the rear of the pressurizing chamber 9. The pressure wave propagated to the nozzle outlet 8 pushes a vale 12 to close the connection port 13 communicated with an ink supply passage 10. When the application of voltage to the piezoelectric vibrator 1 is stopped, the piezoelectric vibrator 1 returns to the reverse direction and the ink pressurizing chamber 9 is brought to negative pressure. Hereupon, the valve 12 moves upwardly and the ink pressurizing chamber 9 gets communicated with the ink supply passage 10 through the connection port 13 and the ink reduced in the nozzle due to the injection of the ink is replenished. Therefore, pressure loss at the pressure feed time of the ink can be eliminated and the pressure generated by the piezoelectric vibrator or a heat generating element can be efficiently worked on the injection of the ink. |
