<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dictionary data registration device for pedestrian authentication for creating and registering dictionary data, in consideration of a tendency (predictable change) of a pedestrian in actually walking on a passage as well as an attitude change, and consequently attaining highly accurate face collation without imposing a large burden on a user. <P>SOLUTION: The registration device for registering the dictionary data for pedestrian authentication based on a face image gathers attitude variation data from a plurality of face images of a registrant with various attitudes (face directions), gathers walking data from the face image of the registrant actually walking on a passage, and creates the dictionary data merging the attitude variation data and the walking data to register them as the dictionary data for authenticating a person walking on the passage by face collation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
