PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pantograph etc. having the following characteristics of a current collecting sliding portion to a trolley wire in a wide running speed range of a railway car without causing complication of the pantograph. SOLUTION: The pantograph includes a current collecting sliding portion 10 contacting the trolley wire T, a supporting mechanism 30 for supporting the current collecting sliding portion 10 displaceably to a vehicle body, a variable magnetic spring element 100 provided on the supporting mechanism 30 and capable of changing a spring constant, and a control means for changing the spring constant of the variable magnetic spring element 100 depending on a dominant frequency at which the trolley wire T vibrates the current collecting sliding portion 10 when the railway car is running.
