The machine (06) has a full-width folding cone for production of products in paper format, and a folding cylinder assembly for cross-cutting along a folded material course and for making cross-folds. The cone is arranged in a folding cone section (I). A half-width folding cone is provided in another folding cone section (II), which is arranged next to each other and lying before the cylinder assembly. A longitudinal slitter is arranged in the cylinder section (II). An independent claim is also included for a method for producing three-side cut products, in particular sixteen-sided products, from a printed material course.
