<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device for a head lamp capable of being used in common even if a kind of the lamp is different. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting device for the head lamp is provided with the head lamp provided with a high beam lamp 5 and a low beam lamp 6; a combination switch 3 for selecting the lighting state of the head lamp; a controller 4 for controlling the lighting state of the head lamp according to the combination switch; and a resistance value detection means 11 for detecting a resistance value of the head lamp. The controller is provided with a map for memorizing the lighting state of the lamp in every kind of the lamp previously set to the head lamp, determines the kind of the lamp used for the head lamp based on the resistance value detected by the resistance detector, and controls the lighting state of the head lamp based on the map corresponding to the determined lamp. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
