<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter suppressing color irregularity and density irregularity in each part and having excellent uniformity of characteristics in individuals, and to provide an ink for an ink-jet system to be suitably used for manufacturing the color filter. <P>SOLUTION: The ink to be used for manufacturing a color filter by an ink-jet system contains C.I.pigment red 177, a dispersion medium, and a nickel complex of a compound A expressed by formula (I). The dispersion medium contains one or more kinds selected from a group consisting of 1,3-butyleneglycol diacetate, bis(2-butoxyethyl)ether and 2-(2-methoxy-1-methyletoxy)-1-methylethylacetate.
