PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To economically change a volume of a ringtone of a mobile telephone. SOLUTION: In a mobile telephone A, an incoming call detecting portion 41 detects an incoming call signal from an upper device. An attached terminal notification processor 42 outputs an incoming call notification signal upon detecting the incoming call signal. An electric field intensity measurement processor 44 measures an electric field intensity upon detecting a response signal. A ringing level setting processor 45 determines a ringing level of a ringtone according to the measured electric field intensity. A ringtone generator 46 outputs the ringtone to a speaker 48 at the determined ringing level.
