摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an N×N optical wavelength multiplexing demultiplexing device capable of freely increasing the number of wavelengths of optical signals usable for communication and allocating the necessary number of wavelengths of optical signals between ports. SOLUTION: An optical wavelength multiplexing demultiplexing device includes: a first array waveguide diffraction grating comprising a plurality of first input waveguides 101, a first slab waveguide 102, a first waveguide array 103, a second slab waveguide 104 and a first output waveguide 105; a second array waveguide diffraction grating comprising a plurality of second input waveguides 107, a third slab waveguide 108, a second waveguide array 109, a fourth slab waveguide 110 and a second output waveguide 111; and a connection waveguide 106 which optically couples an (m)th first output waveguide 105 of the first array waveguide diffraction grating and a (c)th second input waveguide 107 of the second array waveguide diffraction grating with each other so that the difference between the (c) and (m) is one of intgers of≥2 having equal intervals.
