PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active sonar device or the like, which enhances detection precision while holding stable signal detection performance, so as to enhance time resolution of a signal detection time. SOLUTION: This active sonar device or the like is provided with: a sampling conversion processing means 4 for detecting an echo signal by Fourier transformation, after sampling a reception signal by a sampling frequency having a frequency change rate same to a frequency change rate of a transmission signal comprising a pulse of a linear frequency modulated wave generated by a signal transmission part 1, and for cutting out only a signal of the maximum level of detected time portion; and a replica correlation processing means 5 for computing a mutual correlation between the reception signal cut out by the sampling conversion processing means 4 and the transmission signal.
