PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing processor of an electronic endoscope system which does not hinder the observation of a non-halation region by halation without darkening the non-halation region. SOLUTION: The image processing processor 20 of the electronic endoscope system 1 is equipped with a luminance determining part 25 for specifying a region with a high-luminance value in an image signal captured by an electronic scope 10 and an image processing part (a second image processing part 27) for performing image processing on the image signal.
