The invention relates to an on-board system and to a method for delivering information in a vehicle, for example to provide information to train or bus passengers, comprising information delivery means and a data coupling device wirelessly interfacing with at least one individual communication device which controls the information delivery means and from which the data coupling device receives instructions and the information to be delivered. The individual communication device transmits an information delivery command to the data coupling device and the latter directs the information to be delivered to the information delivery means. As a result, it is no longer necessary to be at a fixed location in order to deliver information. Regardless of the location of the individual communication device, it can communicate with the data coupling device which controls the delivery of the information by the information delivery means.
