摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus for effectively suppressing flickers even in an image having motion under flashing light. SOLUTION: An average level storing part 2 stores an average level for one field period. A filed direction summation part 3 calculates an average level for three fields. A field direction summation storing part 10 stores an average level of outputs of the field direction summation part 3. A flicker gain calculating part 5 prepares a flicker correction signal. A motion detecting part 4 detects motion between fields from a field direction summed value. A flicker gain storing part 6 stores a flicker gain from the flicker gain calculating part 5 and also rewrites the flicker gain in accordance with an output of the motion detecting part 4. A flicker gain moving part 7 replaces an area having motion with a flicker gain of a previous area part having no motion in accordance with motion detection.
