PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for applying a lubricant, the working efficiency of which is improved, which is made compact and the structure of which is simplified. SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for applying the lubricant is used for automatically applying the lubricant 17 to both ends of a shaft part 12 of a conveying screw 11. The apparatus 1 for applying the lubricant has a conveyor 2, a throw-in part 31, a discharge part 34, a conveying means 37 and an applicator 4. A first slope 33 going from the open side face 20 of an apparatus body 2 toward a vertical plate 22 and a second slope 36 going from the vertical plate 22 of the apparatus body 2 toward the open side face 20 are arranged in the conveying means 37. The applicator 4 is used for applying the lubricant 17 to both ends of the shaft part 12 of the conveying screw 11. The conveying screw 11 is thrown in from the throw-in part 31, rolled on the first slope 33 toward the vertical plate 22, received the lubricant 17 applied by the applicator 4, rolled on the second slope 36 and discharged from the discharge part 34.
