The storage tank has a floor with a cylindrical wall (1) round it composed of prefabricated concrete wall segments (2, 3). The outline of the wall segments is in the form of a symmetrical trapezium with two parallel long sides (4, 5) and two non-parallel short sides (7). The long sides are parallel to the floor and the short sides support each other.
