<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly read a bar code printed in a warped portion of a parer sheet, even though the paper sheet is warped due to the influence of fixing of image. <P>SOLUTION: This bar code reader is provided as its constitution with conveying means 11, 12, 13 for conveying the paper sheets printed with the bar code along a paper sheet conveying path; a bar code reader 20 for reading the bar code from the paper sheet on the conveying path formed of the first conveying path forming member 26 and the second conveying path forming member 27; an inclination variable mechanism for changing the inclination of the bar code reader 20 with respect to the paper sheet conveying path, in view from a width direction of the paper sheet, conveyed along the paper sheet conveying path; a detection sensor 28 for detecting a conveying posture of the paper sheet on the paper sheet conveying path; and a control part for controlling drive of the inclination variable mechanism, based on a detection result from the detection sensor 28. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
