PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminaire suspending tool, capable of holding a luminaire even in the event of break of a wire, and visually confirming the break of the wire. SOLUTION: The luminaire suspending tool 10 is adapted so that when the upper end of the wire 13 is broken to release the engagement between a first support hole 31 and a first engagement ball part 46, a third engagement ball part 48 is engaged with a third support hole 32 to hold the wire 13, and when the lower end of the wire 13 is broken to release the engagement between a second support hole 41 and a second engagement ball part 47, a fourth engagement ball part 49 is engaged with a fourth support hole 42 to hold the wire 13.
