TONER, DEVELOPER USING TONER, CONTAINER CONTAINING TONER, PROCESS CARTRIDGE, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner achieving both of excellent low temperature fixing property and offset resistance.

SOLUTION: The toner is granulated in an aqueous medium and contains at least two kinds of binder resins, wherein as a binder resin, a polyester resin having an increased molecular weight due to the reaction of a modified polyester prepolymer having a reactive functional group at the molecular end during the aqueous granulation is contained, wherein the modified polyester prepolymer is produced by using an intermediate polyester having a polyester skeleton synthesized from a diester component having a -OH group at the molecular end which is synthesized from a diol compound and a monomer having a dicarboxylic acid, the diol compound is a liquid at 50°C (1 atm) and has a boiling point of 180 to 250°C, and the intermediate polyester has the number average molecular weight of 3,000 to 10,000 and has a functional group number f of 2.05 to 2.55 obtained from the hydroxyl value and the molecular weight.
