<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information reading unit, capable of modifying into a structure having superior accommodation and a structure having superior operability. <P>SOLUTION: In a state of a body portion 10 being grasped, a two-dimensional barcode reader 1 is usable with the body portion alone, and is also usable, by mounting a grip portion 30 on the body portion 10, in a state of the grip portion 30 being grasped. Typically, the body portion 10 includes a power receiving terminal 16, disposed on a housing portion 17 for receiving power supply from a battery 13, and also includes a battery lid 11 and a lid engagement insertion portion 15. Furthermore, the grip portion 30 includes a secondary battery 31, an engagement inserting portion 40 for being engagingly inserted into the housing portion 17 and the lid engagement inserting portion 15, and also includes a power feed terminal 36 for supplying electric power of the secondary battery 31, by contacting to the power receiving terminal 16. By detaching the battery 13 and engagingly inserting the engagement inserting portion 40 into the housing portion 17 and the lid engagement inserting portion 15, the power receiving terminal 16 is made contact to the power feed terminal 36, and the grip portion 30 is mounted on the body portion 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
