<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve assembling workability with high holding force assured, in a grommet for protecting wire harnesses to be inserted into through-holes of a body panel of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The grommet 1 includes a center axis 2 with a wire harness 5 inserted, and is continuously provided with a circular coupling part 31 on an outer periphery of the center axis 2. A lip 32 with a cross-section L-shaped convex ring shape is continuously provided in free extension on a shaft center direction of the center axis 2 at the circular coupling part 31, and flange part 33 is continuously provided at the lip 32. When the grommet 1 is attached to a body panel 10, the lip 32 of the grommet 1 is extended onto the shaft direction of the center axis 2 of the grommet 1 to shrink its radius, then the lip 32 is inserted into a through-hole 12 of the body panel 10.
