PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a cutting defect caused by heat transfer between a workpiece and a cutting blade. SOLUTION: This slicer is provided with a cutting table 10 mounted with the cutting blade 11 at an upstream end and a cutting edge table 12 arranged adjacently to an upstream side of the cutting table 10. The cutting blade 11 is provided with a flow passage 22 to circulate fluid capable of adjusting the temperature of the cutting blade 11. By circulating the fluid (cooling water) in the flow passage 22, the cutting blade 11 can be set to a temperature suitable for cutting the workpiece. As a result, the cutting defect caused by the heat transfer between the workpiece and the cutting blade 11 can be prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
