PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a toner excellent in fixing property, durability and sticking resistance in the environment of usage. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a toner comprises melting and kneading at least a binder resin, a colorant and a release agent in a kneading machine, then pulverizing and classifying, and depositing inorganic fine particles thereon, and is characterized in that: the add amount x (pts.mass) of the release agent is 2 to 8 pts.mass with respect to 100 pts.mass of the binder resin; the kneading machine has a barrel and a screw; and the exposure amount y (mg/g) of the release agent on the toner surface satisfies 17.5≤y≤25.0 by controlling the add amount x of the release agent and its supply amount F (Kg/h) to the barrel, the temperature T (°C) of the barrel and the revolution number N (rpm) of the screw to specified ranges.
