THIN-FILM SOLAR CELL AND FABRICATION METHOD THEREOF

A thin-film solar cell and a fabricating method thereof are provided to absorb a long wavelength range of solar energy by forming a functional gradient band gap structure. An i type semiconductor layer is formed between a p type semiconductor layer having amorphous particles and an n type semiconductor layer having crystalline particles. The i type semiconductor layer has a functional gradient of the crystalline particles of the n type semiconductor layer to the amorphous particles of the p type semiconductor layer. The functional gradient is increased according to the highest ratio selected from a range of 0 to 0.7 or 1 when a ratio of the crystalline particles to the amorphous particles corresponds to the functional gradient.
