PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technique for increasing the discharge speed of an electrodeposition liquid or a cleaning liquid when dischaged from a tank in an immersion treatment apparatus arranged in a coating line for a vehicle body. SOLUTION: The immersion treatment apparatus comprises: a liquid storage tank storing the electrodeposition liquid for the electrodeposition coating or the cleaning liquid for the pretreatment for coating; and a vehicle body transporting mechanism for allowing the vehicle body to obliquely enter the liquid storage tank, transport in the tank and obliquely go out from the tank, wherein when the vehicle body goes out from the electrodeposition liquid or the cleaning liquid, a guide mechanism to step-by-step or continuously increase the oblique angle of the vehicle body is provided. The electrodeposition liquid or the cleaning liquid remaining in the vehicle body is rapidly discharged by the sudden change of attitude of the vehicle body with the change of the angle.
