PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer spherical particle at a high efficiency for using a raw material which is excellent in powder flowability and can form a molded product, a skin material, and a coating film that are excellent in safety, resistance to weather, flexibility, rubbery elasticity, low temperature characteristics, adhesion to polar resins, touch and appearance. SOLUTION: The method for producing a polymer powder comprises a process for removing a solvent by steam stripping, wherein an aqueous dispersion comprising a polymer solution, water and a dispersant is put in a stirring tank 1 being a stirring apparatus, and then stirred by a stirrer 2 while steam is blown directly into the stirring tank to heat the aqueous dispersion; and the stirrer is used to have a driving power number of 1 or more and to stir with a rotation number P/V of 2 kW/m<SP>3</SP>or more.
