PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer device, capable of performing efficient transfer of data, considering advantages and disadvantages of overlap processing. SOLUTION: When an abnormal use state such that the response time of a second storage device 5 becomes longer than the standby time in access processing of a first storage device 10 occurs, overlap processing for interrupting access processing to the second storage device 5 is not performed during the standby time in access processing to the first storage device 10.
