Cosmetic and dermatological formulations comprising natural pigments extracted from plants as cosmetic colorants are provided to transfer the colors of natural pigments to the human skin in combination with cosmetic carrier formulation. A human skin is colored by applying an effective amount of a cosmetic and dermatological formulation comprising (i) reformulation of plant products including fruit, vegetable, bean, seed, flower, leaf or a mixture thereof or (ii) natural pigments extracted from plant products, mixed with a cosmetic carrier, wherein the reformulation or natural pigment is powder, micro powder or flake of plant products; and the cosmetic carrier is shea butter, cocoa butter, grape seed oil, peppermint essential oil, honey bees wax, carnauba wax, kaolin powder, vitamin C, vitamin E or natural flavoring agent.
