<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive structure capable of electrically and mechanically connecting a CPU to a socket without solder. <P>SOLUTION: On a wiring substrate, a top lock plate is provided on a contact substrate having terminal strips connected to the wiring of a wiring substrate slidably with a space on the contact substrate. The top lock plate has through-holes at the lock plate to receive terminal pins of a central processing unit at positions corresponding to the terminal pins. Since the top lock plate can be driven to slide on the contact substrate, the through-holes of the top lock plate vertically align to those of the through-hole portion when the top lock plate is in a first position, and the terminal pins of a CPU body can be easily inserted into the through-holes. When the top lock plate is in a lock position, the terminal pins are in contact with contact segments and clamped by the contact segments. Accordingly, the CPU body is firmly held by the socket, thus assuring the electrical contact of the terminal pins to the terminal strips. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
