PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a shift lever device capable of simplifying the constitution when not only a knob but also a cover are desired to be illuminated. SOLUTION: Lights emitted from a lamp 104 are incident on a cover 92 from a rear face of the cover 92, reflected by a reflection diaphragm 98, and emitted to the outside of a knob 90 from a light emission part 100 provided on a top face of the knob 90, so as to illuminate the light emission part 100. When the cover 92 is illuminated, by eliminating the reflection diaphragm 98 applied on an upper curve face of the cover 92, the lights emitted from the lamp 104 can pass through the upper curve face of the cover 92 to illuminate the cover 92. In this manner, even when the cover 92 is illuminated, there is not need of adding another lamp to illuminate the cover 92, so that the constitution of the shift lever device 10 can be simplified.
