ORTHODONTIC SCREW HAVING MICRO GROOVE PORTION

An orthodontic screw having microgrooves is formed in a soft-tissue contact portion of the screw, which microgrooves serve to improve the bondability of a soft tissue so that the or¬ thodontic screw can be stably anchored to a lower bone structure. The orthodontic screw includes a drill portion for drilling a bone. A body portion extends from the drill portion, the body portion including a thread section continuously formed with the drill portion and a microgroove section formed in a neighboring relationship with the thread section, the microgroove section having a ridge height of 5 to 1OD. A head portion extends from the body portion so that the head portion can be rotated by a screw driver.
