<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain illumination light from obstructing the view of a driver seated in a front seat when a lighting member having a light-guiding property is disposed on an instrument panel of a vehicle cabin front portion. <P>SOLUTION: In the lighting device in the vehicle cabin, the lighting member 2 having the light-guiding property is disposed on the instrument panel 10 of the vehicle cabin front portion. On the instrument panel 10, a stepped portion S extending in a vehicular width direction and vertically dividing the instrument panel 10 is provided. At the stepped portion S, a rear end portion 11p of a stepped upper surface 11f positioned on an upper side is set to bulge out to a vehicle rear side from a front end portion 12p of a stepped lower surface 12F positioned on a lower side. The lighting member 2 is disposed near the front end portion 12f of the stepped lower surface 12f. The illumination light from the lighting member 2 is set to irradiate an equipment portion provided near the stepped portion S, and so as to directly enter the view field of the driver seated in the front seat. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
