PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water leakage preventing device for an expansion pipe, which is installed on a water pipe bridge while using equipment large enough to be brought into a site for winding and adhering an expansion cover thereonto to secure sufficient water tightness. SOLUTION: The expansion cover 2 consists of a flat sheet inner face cover 21 to be wound thereon with an overlapping allowance J in the peripheral direction, and a connection sheet piece 23 fixed to the outer periphery side surface of the inner face cover 21. The connection sheet piece 23 is fixed thereto to be located on the inner face side of the overlapping allowance J in the condition of winding the inner face cover 21 thereon. An end 23b on one of the peripheral sides of the connection sheet piece 23 can be separated from the inner face cover 21 and raised on the radial outside. The outer diameter side face of the end 23b and the inner diameter side face of the inner face cover 21 located on the outer diameter side of the overlapping allowance J are overlapped with each other and the overlapped portions 27 are pushed from both sides in the thickness direction and fixed together with water tightness.
