PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a setter for heat treatment capable of properly performing heat treatment of a back substrate and a front substrate. SOLUTION: This setter 530 for heat treatment, utilized in heat treatment of the back substrate 2 and the front substrate 3 of a PDP (plasma display panel) is composed of a base table 540, and holding members 550 disposed on a plurality of points of the base table 540 for holding the substrates 2, 3. A height from the base table 540 to a holding portion 552 of each of the holding members 550 can be adjusted. Thus the heat treatment can be performed in a state of controlling warpage of the substrates 2, 3 by adjusting the heights of the holding portions 552 according to the warpage, even when a first flat plate 541 and a second flat plate 543 of the base table 540 warp, for example, during use for a long period.
