PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical probe which suppresses an increase in the size of a portion inserted into a body and administers a medicament, a contrast medium, or the like into an affected area and collects blood or the like from the affected area, and an optical tomogram generating apparatus. SOLUTION: The optical probe is equipped with a tube which is transparent to at least prescribed light, a light guide path which extends in the tube to have the distal end located inside the tube and guides the light transmitting the tube through the inside, an optical element which is provided further ahead of the distal end of the light guide path inside the tube, emits the light guided by the light guide path to a subject through a wall of the tube, and returns the light returning from the subject to the light guide path, an accommodating chamber which is provided at the distal end of the tube, forms a distal end space isolated from the other spaces inside the tube for accommodating a fluid in the distal end space, and has a hole punctured to connect between the distal end space and the outside of the tube, and a fluid in-and-out part for making the fluid come in and out with respect to the distal end space through the hole of the accommodating chamber.
