PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of measuring the perimeter of a metallic catalyst carrier capable of easily measuring the perimeter of the metallic catalyst carrier with an inexpensive facility, and manufacturing the metallic catalyst carrier with high product reliability. SOLUTION: The metallic catalyst carrier 8 is rotated to measure the distance R from its rotation center to the circumference by a sensor 4 at every predetermined rotation angles, and the perimeter corresponding to the predetermined rotation angles are calculated and added respectively to measure the perimeter L of the metallic catalyst carrier 8.
