<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable that can be fastened not having an over-structure with a fastening base and a cable insulating body. <P>SOLUTION: An elongated electrical cable 30 or a flexible circuit board includes an electrically conductive path 36 and an insulating body enclosing the electrically conductive path, and from the exposed surface of the insulating body, a number of aligned fastener elements 34 extend, and the fastener elements are arranged so as to engage with mating fastener elements coupled to a supporting surface. In a method of forming a cable that can be fastened, an insulating material including a thermoplastic resin is inserted into a gap formed adjacent to an outer circumferential surface of a rotary mold roll internally having a number of aligned cavities so that the insulating material fills the cavity at least partially and a fastener member stem extending as an integrated body from a broad surface on one side of a strip of the insulating material is formed, and then, an electrically conductive wire and an electrically conductive path formed on or inside the substrate is inserted into the gap so that the insulating material encloses the electrically conductive path and the electrically conductive path is integrated with the strip of the insulating material on which the fastener member step extends. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
