<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an electric brake having a braking member of a wheel driven by an electric motor, more specifically, simplify the structure of an electric brake regarding. <P>SOLUTION: The electric brake comprises a brake disk 7 rotating together with the wheel, a friction material 6 facing to the brake disk 7, a piston 4 for pushing the friction material 6 to the brake disk 7, a brake carrier 5 displaceably supporting the piston 4 in its axis direction, and a linear motor 20 for driving the piston in its axis direction.Braking force is generated so that the piston 4 pushes the friction material 6 to the brake disk 7 by means of driving force of the linear motor 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
