PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device which can prevent a sucking mechanism from losing the ability to suck due to the sedimentation of ink in the sucking mechanism when ink is discharged into an ink receiving port formed on a platen and can prevent an ink mist from scattering into the device when the ink is discharged into the ink receiving port. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording device has the ink receiving port 18 formed in a platen 3 to receive ink discharged from a recording head 4, the sucking mechanism 21 and 25 sucks air in the device, a communication port 22 to introduce a mist of the ink discharged to the ink receiving port 18 into the sucking mechanism, a liquefying means 24 to liquefy the ink mist introduced into the sucking mechanisms and an ink recovery portion 16 to recover the ink liquefied by the liquefying means.
