PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buffer for a cask capable of showing impact absorbing performance stably. SOLUTION: This buffer for the cask mounted on the cask for storing a recycle fuel absorbs an impact to the cask by being deformed. The buffer for the cask is mounted on both ends of the cask having a cylindrical shape. In order to mount the buffer for the cask on the cask, mounting holes 7 are provided in the buffer for the cask. The mounting holes 7 are provided plurally on the circumference centered at a buffer axis Z1, and are constituted of bellows 7s expandably/contractibly in the buffer axis Z1 direction.
