PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binding method and a binding apparatus for tightly binding a plurality of skin-packed objects to be bound. SOLUTION: A transfer conveyer 10 provided with a plurality of endless chains 15 arranged side by side and with a plurality of bucket lines 171, 17b, 17c arranged in the direction of the chains is driven to transfer the objects 1 held in the bucket lines. Bucket lines 17a, 17b, 17c, of a plurality of bucket lines, e.g., a unit of three bucket lines on both ends of the lines are raised by 120°by a raising mechanism 20 for contacting the three items held by each bucket line mutually at a position before binding means 60 provided in the middle of the transfer.
